PAUL deLAY RELEASES NEW CD
HEAVY ROTATION ON 8/21

Since cleaning up his act and coming back on the Pacific Northwest music scene in 1995, Portland's premier blues artist Paul deLay has been riding a rollercoaster of momentum. His trip has yielded four strong and highly original recordings since that time, all for the Evidence label. His latest, Heavy Rotation (ECD 26115), his first release since 1999's deLay Does Chicago, is a reunion with Paul's longtime associates Louis Pain on Hammond B-3 organ, Peter Dammann on guitar and Dan Fincher on tenor saxophone. deLay and his band make no attempt to crossover, nor do they play by the rules. Heavy Rotation is a masterpiece that clearly reveals a unique artist in his prime; unquestionably one of the greatest and most innovative writers, singers, and instrumentalists playing blues today.
